UPDATED: Good Friday Devotion for Home Use

For those not included in the initial mailing but who wish to pray this devotion a downloadable version of the meditations has been prepared and will be found belowDuring the past week regular Communicants will have received a booklet from Father Bradford containing Meditations on the Seven Last Words and other devotional materials for use on Good Friday. Father also made arrangements for the preparation of additional material such that a shortened form of the traditional “Tre Ore” — three hours’ devotion — could be made. These are now available for download as PDFs. Beside the booklet sent by Father Bradford and the new material offered here, you will need a Bible or access to an online version for the Passion according to Saint John (if you wish to use an online source, here is the text appointed in the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition, as used in the Ordinariate liturgy).

The booklet containing the additional materials — the Litany of the Passion; a Self-Examination of Conscience; and Hymns — is being provided in three formats to accommodate differing needs and uses:

This version has each page separately, one after the other: it can be printed (with the “fill available space” checkbox ticked for “large print”)  and stapled at the upper right corner, if desired, or used on a tablet or phone; it is probably the preferred format for use on a phone’s small screen:

This version has the pages presented as “spreads,” with two pages showing at a time, as they would when reading the booklet if it were bound; it can be printed and stapled in the upper right hand corner, if desired; it is probably the preferred format for use on a tablet:

This version has the pages “imposed;” that is, in the order required so when printed back-to-back on four sheets, collated, and folded in half, they will make a booklet; this will only be useful to those wishing to produce print copy booklets:
