Bishop Barron on S Thomas More, Pope Benedict, and Democracy…

Halfway between the Martyrdoms of S John Cardinal Fisher (June 22, chosen as the Feast for both Saints) and S Thomas More (July 6) seems a good time to post this video by then Father, now Bishop, Robert Barron (of the excellent CATHOLICISM television series). He talks about his favorite film, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS: the issues which brought More, finally, to his condemnation in Westminster Hall and, at last, giving an explanation for why he could not support the establishment of a separate Church of England with the King as its head. He also considers the Providence of God which brought Pope Benedict XVI to that very Hall to deliver a message in 2010 which is even more relevant today. Click the link; good for all to see — a must for members of the Ordinariate and those in discernment.
